The Milano Saxophone Quartet has been present on the international music scene since 2010. Thanks to their studies, under the guidance of the most famous Professors in France, Austria and Italy, they have developed and refined virtuosity, combined with a musicality that is 100 per cent made in Italy and today everywhere appriciated.
The Quartet has played in numerous concert halls, such as: Teatro Civico in Alghero, Teatro Ristori in Verona, Teatro Dell’Arte in Milan, Teatro Vittoria in Turin, Belgrade Philharmonic Hall Teatro Civico in Schio, Teatro Secci in Terni, Teatro Comunale in Vicenza, Teatro Zandonai in Rovereto, Filarmonica in Trento and Piccolo Teatro Studio Melato.
The Milano has been guest of prestigious institutions such as MITO Settembre Musica, Musica Riva Festival, Alpen Classica Festival, Opera Estate, Società del Quartetto di Milano, Società del Quartetto di Vicenza, Società del Quartetto di Vercelli, Palazzo Marino in Musica, Lake Como Festival, Temporada de Musica da camera UTEM (Chile), Chile Saxfest, Vienna Saxfest, Musica Riva Festival, Associazione Filarmonica Umbra, Long lake Festival (Switzerland).
In 2020-21 the quartet was on tour around Europe. Thi experience took them to perform in Montenegro, Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia, Portugal, Spain, France, Switzerland, Austria and the Republic of San Marino.
In its first two recordings , the quartet, gave a new voice to composers and musical styles apparently not familiar and historically far away from the timbre of the saxophone. The group recorded the album Musica Ficta for ARS produktion (Germany) and Rispetti e Strambotti for Azzurra Music (Italy). With his latest album Skylines (Ambiente Audio – Germany), the quartet has gone through an intimate search for the sound’s colours, giving also its contribution in creating a new repertoire for this instrument.
They actively collaborates in crossover projects with Antonella Ruggiero, Giorgia Antonelli (Strappatempo) and the Sasso Rosso Choir.
The Milano Saxophone Quartet also plays D’Addario and is Selmer and LefreQue artist.
